Where do you rank?
Do you know where you rank in search? The answer is probably yes. When it comes to our rankings for our main target terms, our eyes are usually glued to the Search Engine Results Pages while we await that inevitable leap.
However, do you know how much you’ve moved from last month’s position? Do you know where you’re ranking for ALL of your main target terms?
An SEO Campaign that doesn’t pay close attention to ranking shifts is an SEO Campaign that falls short of its own capabilities.
SEO isn’t about targeting one, two or even three keywords – it’s about the big picture. Monitoring your rankings allows you to take a reactive approach, it allows you to capitalise on existing rankings and make bigger short term wins.
Here’s what you will find in a ranking report:
A ranking report is a document that invariably leads to taking action. You may discover rankings for popular terms that you weren’t aware existed – you can then work on further boosting your position for these terms.
You may also identify rankings which occupy top 5 positions – boosting your website one position in instances such as these can result in significant traffic gains.
Remember, in the land of Search Engine Optimisation, there’s no prizes for featuring on the second page of results.
"Gareth has increased our rankings significantly since we have worked with him. He is always willing to explain his work, and provides thorough and timely monthly reports. He is a pleasure to work with."
- Tracy Townend, Puddle Ducks Franchising Ltd
"The example is obvious, four months ago I was nowhere for my main target search term ("it support manchester"), and now I fall at the bottom of page one. We're also now appearing for a host of other search terms, too. Brilliant work. Very happy customer." "
